Developing one’s personal style as a dancer is a multi-faceted task and we are happy to help with what we know and do best – dress design and costume making. We can suggest costuming ideas that would be a) practical b) flattering for your body type c) functional d) in line with the current choreography or your new dancing style. We want to bring new looks and fresh ideas that would help our clients complete their transformation and make them look and feel their absolute best.

How does it work?

When you purchase the program, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire. The form will include questions about you, your personal tastes and preferences, your aspirations, your dancing styles and what you are hoping to accomplish with the consultation. We will also ask you to send us photos and videos of you and your partner (if applicable). We might be in touch to get some additional information (such as the music for the showcase if you want a specific costume designed)

What do I get as a result?

You’ll be emailed a detailed fashion consultation summary with tips and suggestions on the colors, cut, design and accessories of a competition gown. Depending on your particular request we will accompany it with either a set of quick sketches + an inspirational board for multiple dance programs (say several sketches for American Smooth  and a few sketches for a Rhythm dress) or one detailed elaborate sketch in color along with a detailed list of fabrics,trimmings and stones to be used in making it.

We will also provide recommendations on how to achieve a great look on a limited budget, what things to take into account when ordering a new dress as well as things to look out for when buying a used gown.

What we want to achieve with this consultation is to help you:

– Select the most flattering styles and fabrics for your body shape
– Emphasize what you like about your dancing technique and disguise what you don’t
– Express your personality through your dancing costumes
– Avoid shopping disasters
– Develop a long-lasting dancing wardrobe so you get maximum usage from it
– Reduce time and frustration looking for the perfect outfit

Do I have to order the dress from you after that?

No. Although we absolutely can and would be happy to implement any of the costume ideas, you don’t have to order a dress from us to enjoy this service.
